The Great Outdoors!
This year our camp is inspired by the wonderful work of Richard Louv. His books The Last Child in the Woods and Vitamin N are a call to action to all parents and educators. He coined the term Nature-deficit disorder which is the idea that human beings, especially children, are spending less time outdoors than they have in the past, and the belief that this change results in a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral problems.

Embark on a cosmic adventure with our “Exploring the Universe” theme for the first week of camp. Discover the wonders of the cosmos through educational activities, interactive lessons, and Islamic values intertwined with the vast mysteries of space. Join us for a steller week filled with learning.
Dive into the wonders of our planet with our “Guardians of the Earth” theme for week 2. Through hands-on activities, eco-friendly lessons, and a touch of Islamic wisdom, children will learn to appreciate and care for our earth. This week will foster a sense of environmental responsibility as well as an understanding of the earth’s systems.
Join us on a watery adventure with our “Rivers of Wisdom” themed week for our students. Delve into the significance of waterways through engaging activities, interactive lessons and teachings of Islam. Let your child discover the importance of rivers, lakes, and oceans while connecting to their faith in a refreshing and educational environment.
Dig into the wonders beneath our feet with our “”Soul of the Soil” themed week. Through hands on activities, gardening adventures, and the teachings of Islam about care for the earth, children will explore the importance of soil in sustaining life.
Join us for a week of green adventures with our “Botanical Bliss” week. Dive into the world of plants and vegetation through hands-on activities, artistic explorations of various plants, and educational activities infused with Islamic teachings to bolster your child’s connection to the world around them. Let the summer bloom with growth, learning, and Islamic wisdom.
Students also engaged in daily activities of Quran reading, reading, writing, math explorations, outdoor explorations.
The classical teaching method at Peace Terrace Academy develops active learners who feel seen and heard, resulting in self-assured and confident individuals.
