Grammar is the foundation of a subject. It is the collection of its parts and the mechanics of how they work. Without an understanding of the facts and a basic foundation of the subject students will not be able to move forward fully in deepening their understanding of the subject at hand. In the Grammar stage, students are exposed to a variety of facts about each subject and learn the foundational skills of seeking knowledge. Reading with fluency and comprehension; computing the four processes mentally, memorizing scientific terms and concepts; developing skills and a foundation for written and oral communication.
