Islamic
Studies / Hifz-e-Quran Teacher
An
Aalim,
preferably a
Hafiz with sufficient experience of teaching school grade students in
an
Islamic environment. Will be responsible for:
1. Teaching
Islamic
Studies, Quran and Quranic Arabic to students K-8
. 2. Lead daily assembly
3. Give daily
Islamic
training to rest of staff and admin .... help to create the Taddabur
model of
teaching "secular" subjects
4.
Review, design and
implement curriculum in the aforementioned subjects.
5. Organize Islamic
activities in the school for students and staff: Example: Hajj
Assembly,
Islamic Fair, Islamic Quiz, Eid Festivities etc.
Preferred personality
attributes:
1. Is a role model...practicing what he preaches of all
aspects of
Deen,
including good Akhlaq
2. Is the STAR attraction for
families to send
their kids to PTA
3. Has high visibility, personal rapport among mosques and
organizations in Bay
Area, is an activist
4. Culturally in tune with young minds... preferably brought up in
USA.
5. Willing to achieve success with the curriculum goals already put in
place by
PTA
English Language Arts Teacher to teach grades 5 thru 8
Requisites:
A University degree with English Language Arts as a major
Knowledge and/or experience using technology as an
instructional tool
Previous experience of teaching English Language Arts
Authorization to legally work in USA
Preference will
be Given to Candidates Who Posses:
Masters degree in Language Arts from a North
American University
California state teaching credentials
Knowledge and skills of teaching Social studies in addition
to English.
Strong writing ability
Experience of working in an Islamic environment
Interest or experience in coaching students for co-curricular
programs
Maths Teacher to teach grades 5 thru 8
Requisites:
A University degree with Maths as a major
Knowledge and/or experience using technology as an
instructional tool
Previous experience of teaching Maths
Authorization to legally work in USA
Preference will
be Given to Candidates Who Posses:
Masters degree in Maths from a North American University
California state
teaching credentials
Knowledge and skills of teaching Science in addition to Maths
Experience of working in an Islamic environment
Interest or experience in coaching students for co-curricular
programs
